heartBEATS.

Like the other billions of people in the world my heart runs on blood, but mine is a little different being that it's powered on one other thing; MUSIC. Whether it's a rainy day and I'm finding myself staring out my bedroom window or if it's just a simple morning jog through the woods, I'm ALWAYS accompanied with it. In the worst of times I look to it as a remedy, but during the best of times I look to it as an excuse to be as crazy as I possibly can.

From the raps of Drake and Nicki Minaj to the pop smashes of Lady GaGa and Jay Sean, my iPod is my life story. My love for music can be taken as an obsession.. but I like to think of it more as a way to break free. (Just in case you're wondering, I'll clear up the air: I'm not a musician in any way, shape, or form; that remains as a childhood dream.) I don't believe that I have to be, because music is in my blood and continuously beating into my eardrums.

I love to write and read, which is why I probably love music so much; that's what it basically is. Some people think music is just a type of entertainment, but I like to think of it as a way to be heard. Turn on a song right now, any song, and look past the up beat tempo or the piano playing and listen to the lyrics. If you do this, then you will quickly realize that there is a meaning to every song; no matter what the genre or artist. It can remember the death of a loved one, or put a smile on a lovestruck teenager like myself. Music can make you happier, and it can bring you sorrow at times..but most importantly it can open a door for you to just breakaway.

Music has become my best friend and it may be yours as well..
